Growing up, I didn't have the same accessibility to cameras that exists in my home now.
Life was different for me. At the age of 19, I went to work as a nanny for an editor of National Geographic Magazine who was stationed in Aspen, Colorado.
I'd walk her baby to the cabin every day so she could personally feed her. I'd have thirty minutes to converse with all the photographers who were tucked away in a small room looking through a magnifying glass at their slides. Yes, these were film days.
It was so exciting! They would ask me which image was my favorite.
That was when I completely fell in love with photography.
It took me a little longer to pursue it, but now I feel that I have the best job on the planet.
I specialize in portrait photography for women, men, children, and families.
